The Oulu University of Applied Sciences’ School of Social and Health Care is a versatile educational, research and development centre. Students get an education in Oulu and Oulainen as experts in areas promoting welfare and health in local, national and international duties.

There are ten study programs that lead to a degree. The University of Applied Sciences also offers 30 credits in occupational/professional specialization. You can study available university of applied sciences studies regardless of your basic education along with the regular group lessons.

After graduating from the University of Applied Sciences, those with at least three years of work experience can apply for a 90 credit study program.

Research and development work include the research work related to final thesis and other developmental projects. The office of Northern Ostrobothnia’s social sector’s expert centre for Northern Finland is located in Oulainen.
